About FactManity

Real Facts. Real History. No Fiction.

FactManity is an independent American facts publication built on one simple idea, “the truth about the United States is stranger, more fascinating, and more disturbing than anything that gets made up“. From weird laws that still exist on state books, to declassified government secrets that never made the news, every article on this site is grounded in documented sources, real history, and verified facts.

We don’t do clickbait. We don’t make things up. We dig into the real records, court documents, FOIA releases, state statutes, and declassified government files and present what we find in plain language that anyone can understand.

Faraz Qadir - Founder of FactManity

My name is Faraz Qadir. I’m a Pakistani musician, researcher, and entrepreneur based in Islamabad. I spent over 10+ years training in classical vocal music under the legendary Ustad Bade Fateh Ali Khan of the Patiala Gharana, and I founded VCompose to share that tradition with students across the globe.

So what does a classical musician have to do with American history and weird laws?

Everything, actually.

Music taught me to listen carefully, dig into the original sources, and never take surface-level explanations at face value. When I started researching American history for a personal project, I kept stumbling across facts that stopped me cold, laws so bizarre they seemed impossible, government programs so dark they read like fiction, stories buried in official records that no mainstream outlet ever covered properly.

I built FactManity to be the place where those stories finally get told the right way… with proper sourcing, honest context, and zero exaggeration. You can also find my music work at farazqadir.com

Every article on this site falls into one of four categories:

  • 📜 Weird U.S. Laws: Strange, outdated, and bizarrely real laws that still exist in state and municipal codes across America. Some are hilarious. Some can actually get you fined.
  • 🔍 Creepy Conspiracies & Secrets: Documented government programs, declassified CIA files, and historical events that sound like conspiracy theories but are backed by official records.
  • Shocking American Facts: The side of American history that textbooks skip over. Real events, real statistics, real stories.
  • 🔥 Hot & Trending U.S. Facts: Current stories and viral facts explained with proper context and verified sources.

All content is written in plain English, fact-checked against primary sources, and reviewed before publishing. If a claim can’t be verified, it doesn’t go on the site.

FactManity holds itself to the following standards on every article:

  • ✅ Every factual claim is linked to a primary source, state government websites, official court records, declassified government documents, or peer-reviewed historical records.
  • ✅ We clearly distinguish between verified facts, historical myths, and urban legends. You will always know which is which.
  • ✅ We do not publish speculation as fact. If something is disputed or unverified, we say so.
  • ✅ Content is reviewed for accuracy before publishing and updated when new information becomes available.
  • ✅ All content on FactManity is created for educational and entertainment purposes. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice.

Most “fun facts” content online is lazy. The same recycled lists. The same unverified claims copied from site to site. The same headlines designed to shock without ever explaining the actual story.

FactManity was built as a direct response to that. Every article starts with a real question and then actually answers it, with real sources, real context, and honest conclusions.

“The truth about America is fascinating enough on its own.
It doesn’t need to be invented — it just needs to be found.”

— Faraz Qadir, Founder
